as the cherished home of Dr. Abdel Wahab Mooro Pacha, his beloved wife Fatheya,
and their two sons Hashem and Hisham since the 1930s. Dr. Mooro Pacha was a
pioneering figure in modern surgery in Egypt, renowned for his work at the
Mooro Hospital in Cairo, Egypt and as the esteemed Dean of the Faculty of
Medicine at Cairo University. The Mooro family was also known for their
illustrious social gatherings in the vibrant community of Zamalek, hosting
countless events at the villa. One of the most memorable occasions was a
private performance by the legendary Om Kalthoum, who sang in gratitude to Dr.
Mooro Pacha after a successful surgery. Dr. Mooro Pacha passed away in 1979,
and Mrs. Mooro two decades later, leaving behind a legacy of excellence and a
home steeped in history and grandeur.
