san juan island is the second largest ferry-serviced island
in the san juan archipelago which is located in the salish sea, between
mainland washington state and vancouver island. san juan island is home to
friday harbor, the only incorporated city in the archipelago, and the county′s
seat. friday harbor is a charming historic seaport with a variety of stores
restaurants, galleries, boutiques and museums to choose from. san juan island
is home to lime kiln point state park, also known as the whale watch park,
where the local southern resident killer whales among other whales and marine
wildlife can be spotted quite frequently. san juan island is the perfect mix of
rocky shores, rolling fields and gentle hills, a delight for kayakers, hikers
and bikers alike. with several marinas spread around the island it is a haven
for boaters from all over the world.
From the ferry take Spring Street, turn right on 2nd Street, which turns in to Guard Street then into Beaverton Valley Road. Go approx. 6 miles, turn left on Mitchell Bay Roadd for about 2/3 of a mile. Turn right on Briggs Roadd, go to the end, house on left at sign.

The kitchen features a Viking range, soapstone counters, side-by-side subzero refrigerator, built-in wine coolers, walk-in pantry, breakfast bar and bay window dining area with French Doors to the deck. The primary bedroom offers a bay window seat, a walk-in closet and ensuite bathroom with jetted tub, steam shower, marble floors and double vanities. Also on the main level is an additional bathroom with shower and a den/office with bay window seat, warm wood paneling and wide planked wood floors. A custom-made spiral staircase leads to the lower level. The fully finished daylight basement features a stately family room built to resemble a ship′s cabin with French doors to a covered patio. A guestroom with a small kitchen, ensuite bathroom, fireplace and glass door to the patio and a second guestroom with ensuite bathroom and walk-in closet round out the lower level. The year-round dock offers covered moorage, power and water, and a fish cleaning station. The casita on the pier is perfect to relax after a day on the water with tranquil views, a kitchenette and a composting toilet.
